This is important as it lowers the mattresses exposed height giving our Tansu Bed a sleek side view and a comfortable bed height.
If you remember the 1960's you'll recall how convenient having a headboard with sliders to keep books, alarm clocks, writing material, and knick-knacks really was... Our Tansu Bed provides the same convenience !
The Tansu headboard is a real tansu with sliders and small drawers. It easily locks into place on the head side surrounding board. Being a normal Tansu design it can also be used separately.
You could use the Tansu by itself as it is only 8" deep (for a narrow sidewall Tansu).
